Financial Controller

You will be a qualified accountant, looking for a leadership role, who can demonstrate solid financial analysis expertise and proven stakeholder management experience. 
Managing all finance and accounting operations. Full operational ownership of all finance business execution and processes, people manager and business partner at Board Level.

This is an exceptional role, offering real autonomy and the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the growth of one of the leading tech companies in the South West.

Essential Requirements and Skills:

ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA Qualified or equivalent
Experienced Financial Controller or similar role.
Accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting.
Excel & financial software.

Year end close process, cash flow, bank reconciliation, VAT returns, payroll and pension.

 

Advantage to have:

  • Access dimensions
  • Xero accounting/ reconciliation
  • Experience of migrating to new finance/ERP/CRM systems.


Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support decision-making.
Analyse financial performance and provide insights to senior management.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
Generate regular financial reports for management and stakeholders.
Monitor cash flow and liquidity, making recommendations for improvement.
Optimize working capital and manage capital expenditure.

Develop and maintain risk management policies and procedures.
Managing the audit process & Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Line management of a small finance team on site.

Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights for strategic decision-making.

Supporting delivery of targets through insightful analysis and idea generation.

Please note that this is a Permanent Role and is office based.
